Crawlspace Encapsulation & Moisture Control in Eastern NC

What's Under Your Home Is Getting Into Your Home.

Most homeowners don't realize that what happens in the crawlspace doesn't stay in the crawlspace. The moisture, the smell, the mold — it all works its way up into the air your home circulates every day. We fix that.

Serving: Greenville, Wilson, Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, Kinston, Farmville, Snow Hill & surrounding eastern NC.

The Air You Breathe
60%

Up to 60% of the air in your home comes from your crawlspace.

Let that sit for a second. The musty smell when you walk in. The allergies that won't quit. The cool air that never feels quite clean. A lot of homeowners chase those symptoms with air purifiers, candles, HVAC service calls — and the actual source is sitting three feet below the floor.

Moisture, mold, pest droppings, and damp insulation in an open crawlspace don't stay down there. They circulate. And until you fix what's happening below the house, the air inside the house keeps coming from the same place.

If You're Seeing Any of This, Your Crawlspace Is Talking to You.

What We Do

We Fix the Crawlspace — and Everything It's Been Doing to Your Home.

Precision Crawlspace doesn't sell one-size-fits-all packages. Every home is different. Every crawlspace is different. We come out, we look at what's actually happening down there, and we give you a real answer — not a sales pitch.

Service 01

Moisture Barriers & Vapor Control

Heavy-duty vapor barriers that seal the ground and seams, blocking moisture from coming up through the soil. The foundation of a dry crawlspace — most homes need this before anything else makes sense.

Starting at $1.25/sq ft
Service 02

Dehumidifiers

A purpose-built crawlspace dehumidifier sized for your home — runs quietly under the house, pulls humidity down to safe levels, and protects everything from the joists up. Set it and forget it.

From $2,850 installed
Service 03

Insulation

Crawlspace insulation done right — properly rated, properly installed, working with your moisture control instead of against it. Most homes we walk into have insulation falling out of the joists. We fix both problems at once.

Starting at $1.85/sq ft

Plus Everything Else Down There.

  • Mold control and remediation
  • Structural repairs (joists, sills, supports)
  • Debris clean-out & old insulation removal
  • Crawlspace doors — sealed, secure, lockable

"A properly sealed crawlspace doesn't just fix the smell. It lowers your humidity. It protects your floors and joists from rot. It cuts your HVAC's workload. And it stops the air down there from being the air up here."

Most homeowners tell us the same thing when we're done: I wish I had done this sooner.

Steve, Owner of Precision Crawlspace
About the Owner

Meet Steve.

Steve spent years as a home inspector, climbing into crawlspaces across eastern North Carolina and pointing out the same problems over and over again. Moisture. Mold. Failing insulation. Damage homeowners didn't know they had.

After long enough watching other contractors do it wrong — or not do it at all — he decided to start fixing it himself.

That's how Precision Crawlspace started. One guy who's seen what bad crawlspaces look like from the inside out, doing the work the way he wishes someone had done it for the homes he used to inspect.

"My name is on this company. That means more to me than money in my pocket. If I'm not willing to put my name on the work, I'm not doing the work." — Steve, Owner
The Owner-Led Difference Most crawlspace companies send a crew. PCR sends the owner. Steve is on every inspection, every quote, and every job site — start to finish. You're not getting passed off to a salesperson. You're getting the guy whose name is on the truck.
Why PCR

What You Get With PCR That You Don't Get Elsewhere.

The Owner Does the Inspection

Not a salesperson. Not a "consultant." Steve. He's in the crawlspace, on the phone, and writing the quote himself.

Honest Diagnoses, Not Sales Pitches

If you don't need a $15k encapsulation, we'll tell you. Sometimes the answer is a vapor barrier and a dehumidifier — and that's what we'll quote.

Real Materials, Done Right

Heavy-mil barriers, properly sized dehumidifiers, code-compliant insulation. We don't cut corners on what goes in your house.

Locally Owned, Eastern NC Focused

We're not a national chain franchise. We live here, we work here, and we know what eastern NC humidity does to homes — because we deal with it every day.

Common Questions

Questions Homeowners Ask Steve.

Here's what we get asked most often. If your question isn't here, just ask — Steve's the one who'll answer it.

How do I know if my crawlspace actually has a problem?
Honestly, most do — especially in eastern NC. If you smell anything musty, feel humidity inside the house, see cupping floors, or have allergies that get worse at home, your crawlspace is the first place to check. Even if everything looks fine, an inspection costs you nothing and tells you for sure.
Do I really need full encapsulation?
Not always. Some homes need a full system. Some just need a moisture barrier and a dehumidifier. We don't quote what you don't need. Steve will tell you straight what's actually required.
How much does this cost?
It depends on the size of the crawlspace and the condition. A basic moisture barrier starts at $1.25/sq ft. A dehumidifier installed runs around $2,850. Full encapsulations vary widely. The inspection is free, and we give you an itemized quote — no estimates or surprises later.
How long does the work take?
Most jobs are done in 1-3 days. Bigger or more damaged crawlspaces can take longer. Steve will give you a clear timeline before any work starts.
Do you serve my area?
If you're in Greenville, Wilson, Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, Kinston, Farmville, Snow Hill, or anywhere in eastern NC — yes. Not sure? Call (252) 717-0789 and ask.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured. We can send proof before any work begins.
What if I just want a second opinion?
That's exactly what we're here for. A lot of homeowners call us after getting quoted by another company. Steve will give you an honest assessment — even if it means telling you the other quote was fair.
